Demolition Permit
A demolition permit issued by the District is required for the demolition of any structure that would require a building permit to construct (generally any structure or building over 55 square metres in floor area). Demolition Permit Application Process
The District of Lantzville uses a cloud-based permitting software called Cloudpermit to issue demolition permits and other planning applications.
How to Register for a Cloudpermit Account
To create a demolition permit application, you will need to register for a Cloudpermit account. Cloudpermit currently supports Firefox, Google and Safari browsers.

To issue a Demolition Permit, the District will require:
- a site plan which identifies the buildings to be demolished
- a hazmat report to confirm the proper removal and disposal of hazardous materials (eg. asbestos)
- confirmation that all utilities have been disconnected
A demolition permit is not require for the removal of decks, non-structural components of a building, a shed or or secondary building under 55 square metres.
