NEIGHBOURHOOD PARKS

The Community has done an excellent job of developing a number of useful and attractive neighbourhood parks including Copley, Huddlestone and Rotary Parks. These parks provide an opportunity for the community to enjoy the surroundings of this community and are located in both Upper and Lower Lantzville.

Copley Ridge Recreation Trail

NEW(Posted January 6, 2021) The Woodlot Licensee will begin harvesting cut block 20-01 highlighted on this map. Logging will start on January 18, 2021, near portions of the Copley Ridge Recreation Trail within Woodlot 1475. Access may be limited. The District of Lantzville has a Partnership Agreement with the Province for the District to maintain, within a 10 metre right of way, the 8.6 km Copley Ridge Recreation Trail (also known as the Copley Woodlot Trail) for non-motorized public recreation within the productive working forest (Woodlot Licence W1475).

Logging will take place over the next couple of months on and near portions of the Copley Ridge Recreation Trail within Woodlot 1475. Access may be limited. Correspondence regarding Proposed Knarston Creek Forest Corridor in Woodlot 1475

On March 26, 2018 Council instructed staff to post on the District's website, a copy of the March 26, 2018 response from the Minister of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development to the District's letter regarding the proposed Knarston Creek Forest Corridor in Woodlot 1475.
