Tree Protection and Management Bylaw

The District of Lantzville is developing a new Tree Protection and Management Bylaw to replace “District of Lantzville Tree Protection Bylaw No. 331, 2022”.

The timeline below summarizes the steps taken and planned to develop the new Tree Protection and Management Bylaw. The timeline may be subject to change due to further amendments to the Bylaw and subsequent rescheduling of second, third reading and adoption.

Tree Protection and Management SURVEY

The District is conducting a survey to better understand community wants, needs, and concerns regarding tree cutting on developed and/or undeveloped properties in Lantzville. The feedback from this survey will be used to inform the development of the new Tree Protection and Management Bylaw.

If you have any questions about the survey, or the bylaw development process, the District is hosting an information event to answer questions.

Where: Royal Canadian Legion Seaview Centennial Br. 257 Hall, 7225 Lantzville Road
When: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Thursday, April 13, 2023

A copy of the survey will be mailed to properties in early April (additional paper copies will be available at Municipal Hall). Please return your completed survey before 4:00pm on Friday, April 21, 2023 in one of the following formats:
