Knarston Creek Overflow Project - LAS
Further to the results of the Local Area Service (LAS) Petition regarding the Knarston Creek Overflow Project, Council, at its Regular Meeting held Monday, April 26th, 2010, approved the following funding formula for the cost recovery of approximately $760,000 for the project, as follows:
- $400,000 Towns for Tomorrow Provincial Grant Funding;
- ($253,200) by annual parcel tax of $976 per parcel/per year for a period of twenty years (21 properties); and
- $106,800 combination of Drainage DCCs; Community Works Fund; Surplus
Following is the staff report regarding the project that was included in the April 26th, 2010 Regular Council Meeting Agenda. The report outlines the results of the LAS on Council Initiative Subject to Petition Against; authorization to proceed to tender; and the project update (hydrology study and water licence application).
